Tarzan Holds Jane

This is supposed to be a scene from one of my favorite Tarzan books, "The Return of Tarzan." Tarzan has just rescued Jane from the sacrificial altar in the lost city of Opar. That's queen La in the background. My take on Tarzan is heavily influenced by artist Russ Manning who drew both the Tarzan comic book (for Gold Key Comics) and the Tarzan strip (for United Features Syndicate) and he's one of my all time favorite artists.
